COMMUNITY UPDATES
A New Chapter for Veterans in Lockhart
Veterans Dignity Village proudly celebrated the successful inauguration of the Veterans Community Center in Lockhart, Texas—a milestone made possible through the dedication of local supporters, community partners, and those committed to serving Caldwell County veterans.
The celebration was especially meaningful as members of the Roy P. Benavidez family joined city officials, veterans, community leaders, supporters, and local residents to recognize the center and the legacy of service it represents. The center’s Veterans Donation Center was dedicated in honor of Medal of Honor recipient Master Sergeant Roy P. Benavidez, connecting his remarkable legacy of courage and service with a new place dedicated to helping veterans in our own community.
The Veterans Community Center represents more than a building—it is a place of connection, resources, dignity, and opportunity. Through donations, referrals, community programs, essential goods, and veteran-focused services, Veterans Dignity Village is working to ensure that every veteran who walks through the door is met with Honor, Dignity, and Respect.
This is just the beginning. Together, we are building a stronger community for those who served.
